Elizabeth McCarthy Reeg Nursing Scholarship (Summer)

This scholarship was created in 2018 by Stan & Elizabeth (Betty) McCarthy Reeg to support students in the Nursing Program. Betty began her nursing career as an OBGYN nurse. However, like so many other nurses, she found herself working in many different fields of health care, from a school nurse to an administrator as her children grew. Now the mother of two and grandmother of four, Betty hopes to give others the support they need to know they too can be successful. This scholarship was established to give non-traditional nursing students the support they need to complete their educational goals.

Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:

• Enrolled in the associate’s degree Nursing program for the summer
• Are a non-traditional student

Scholarship Use
This scholarship is awarded for the Summer 2025 semester.
Scholarship awards will be applied to your tuition, books, and fees first. For more information on how to use your remaining scholarship dollars, please reach out to the SCC Foundation. Any rollover dollars must be used by the end of the Spring 2026 semester. SCC Foundation scholarships are non-transferable.
