John & Mary Blong Achievement Scholarship

Established by John and Mary Blong, this is a donor designated fund in the Quad Cities Community Foundation (FKA: Community Foundation of the Great River Bend).

Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:

• Are an Iowa resident
• Have earned their HiSET through EICC within the past year
• Have a minimum combined HiSET score of 60
• Demonstrated financial need

Scholarship Use
This scholarship is awarded for the Fall 2026 semester.
Scholarship awards will be applied to your tuition, books, and fees first. Any rollover dollars must be used by the end of the Spring 2027 semester. SCC Foundation scholarships are non-transferable.
