Mark Ubelhor Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2012 by friends and family of Mark Ubelhor. Mark was a math instructor at Scott Community College for nearly thirty years. He was best known on campus for his unique and valuable teaching style and his love for technology. He loved teaching and students loved him as a teacher. This scholarship has been established to help support students majoring in mathematics.
Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:
- Are a STEM student enrolled in an AA or AS in Engineering, Math, Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), or Computer Science
- Have completed 12 credit hours or more
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Work full or part-time outside of the college
Scholarship Use
This scholarship is awarded for the Fall 2025 semester.
Scholarship awards will be applied to your tuition, books, and fees first. For more information on how to use your remaining scholarship dollars, please reach out to the SCC Foundation. Any rollover dollars must be used by the end of the Spring 2026 semester. SCC Foundation scholarships are non-transferable.
