ALCOA Scholarship
This scholarship was established by ALCOA in 2013 to support IA-Quad Cities high school students planning to attend Scott Community College.
Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:
- Are an incoming high school senior from one of the following IA-Quad Cities high schools: Pleasant Valley, Bettendorf, Davenport North, Davenport West, Davenport Central, North Scott, Kimberly Center/Mid-City and Assumption
- Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
- Are enrolled in an AAS Program: Accounting Management, Administrative Office Support, Auto Technology, Business Management, CAD and PRO Engineer, Cancer Information Management, Culinary Arts, Dental Hygiene, Diesel Technology, Early Childhood Education, Electro-neurodiagnostic Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Engineering Technology, Environmental, Health, and Safety, Game Development, Health Information Technology, HVAC, Information Technology, Interpreter Training, Logistics, Pre-Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiological Technician, Respiratory Care, Software Development, Technical Studies or Welding
- Demonstrate a strong community commitment to the Quad Cities through volunteer service and/or community activities
- Demonstrate unmet financial need.
Scholarship Use
This scholarship is awarded for the Fall 2025 semester.
Scholarship awards will be applied to your tuition, books, and fees first. For more information on how to use your remaining scholarship dollars, please reach out to the SCC Foundation. Any rollover dollars must be used by the end of the Spring 2026 semester. SCC Foundation scholarships are non-transferable.
