Winegar Student Support Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2012 by Dennis and Jo Ellen Winegar in support of a deserving single parent majoring in Business or Administrative Office Support. Dennis Winegar is a Business adjunct instructor and Jo Ellen Winegar is a retired Administrative Office Support instructor. At the time of the establishment of this scholarship, Dennis and Jo Ellen had taught for a combined total of more than forty years for Eastern Iowa Community Colleges. Their love for education will forever live on through this scholarship.

Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:

• Are a single parent
• Are majoring in Business or Administrative Office Support
• Have successfully completed one semester at SCC with a minimum 2.5 GPA
• Show financial need

Scholarship Use
This scholarship award is for the 2025 spring semester.
The scholarship award will go towards your tuition costs first, with the remaining amount available for you to use towards books and/or supplies. Any rollover dollars must be used by the end of the spring semester.
