Harry J. & Nellie B. Griffith Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established as the first endowment to the Scott Community College Foundation in 1989. In their will, Harry and Nellie Griffith thought of the future by establishing this legacy fund. They had no children of their own, but were very interested in the youth of this area. This scholarship was established to provide support to students from Wilton, Iowa or within a 25 mile radius of Wilton.

Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Graduate of Wilton High School
  • Live within a 25 mile radius of Wilton (excludes Bettendorf and PV).

Scholarship Use
This scholarship is awarded for the Fall 2025 semester.
Scholarship awards will be applied to your tuition, books, and fees first. For more information on how to use your remaining scholarship dollars, please reach out to the SCC Foundation. Any rollover dollars must be used by the end of the Spring 2026 semester. SCC Foundation scholarships are non-transferable.
