David F. Krein Honors Scholarship

In 2013, retired SCC instructor, Dr. David Krein established this scholarship in support of students in the Honors Program. Dr. Krein along with his fellow instructor Dan Morgan helped to start the Honors Program at Scott Community College in 1996. His passion for the Honors Program and the students he instructed remains yet today in the hallways of Scott Community College.

Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Are a second year student in the Honors Program
  • Show academic promise to compete their degree/certificate program.

Scholarship Use
This scholarship award is for the 2025 spring semester.
The scholarship award will go towards your tuition costs first, with the remaining amount available for you to use towards books and/or supplies. Any rollover dollars must be used by the end of the spring semester.
