Vivian Brown Spear Memorial Scholarship for Career Technical Education

This scholarship was established to honor my mother, Vivian Brown Spear. Vivian attended one year of secretarial school. At the age of nineteen she quit school to marry my father. If she had completed her educational program, I believe Mom would have been better prepared to financially support herself and her children, when her marital circumstances changed. This scholarship was established to help Career Technical Education students achieve their educational dreams. In memory of Vivian Brown Spear by her loving daughter Pamela Ann Spear.

Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:

• Have a high school GPA of 2.0 or higher
• Have a college GPA of 2.0 or higher
• Are enrolled or enrolling in one of the following CTE programs: Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, HVAC – Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Culinary Arts, Welding, CNC Machining, Manufacturing, Logistics and Construction.

Scholarship Use
This scholarship award is for the fall semester.
