Judy Nelson Memorial (Health Sciences) Scholarship

This scholarship was created in April 1995 by Molly Jungk, 1995 Outstanding Staff Member, through the use of the award stipend. Upon Judy Nelson’s death, a memorial fund was established by Judy’s family, friends, and colleagues. Judy was a dedicated staff member at Scott Community College and always performed her job with the student foremost in mind. She was a caring, nurturing, and encouraging person who went out of her way to be helpful. The award recipient should be the person who most reflects Judy’s memory.

Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:

• Are a second year student in the Pre-Nursing program, Nursing program, or an Allied Health or Pre-Allied Health program
• Have and maintain a 3.0 GPA
• Demonstrate unmet financial need
• Show volunteerism and/or involvement in school, community, or other organizations

Scholarship Use
This scholarship award is for two semesters. Half of the award will be added to your student account for the upcoming fall semester and the second half will be added for the following spring semester.
