Quad Cities (IL) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated
The Quad Cities (IL) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated will award scholarships of at least $500.00 to high school seniors who will attend college, vocational, or technical institutions during the 2023-2024 academic year.
Guidelines
- Must be a graduating senior attending a high school in the Quad Cities region.
- Must have at least a 2.75 cumulative grade point average, or equivalent, on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be of African American Heritage.
- Must submit a biographical statement essay which includes: A. The reason your education is important to you. B. Sharing your future goals and aspirations.
- Must have two (2) letters of recommendation from individuals who are familiar with your character. One must be from a high school official. One must be from a church or community service organization representative who is not a school official.
- Must submit an official transcript and ACT ·or SAT test scores if tests were taken.
- Must include the Expected Family Income Contribution (EFIC) form, from the Free Application for Federal-Student Aid (FAFSA) if student has applied for financial aid.
- All applicants, must be a resident of the Quad Cities Area.
- All materials submitted become property of The Quad Cities (IL) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated.
Applications must be mailed and postmarked by April 15, 2023.
