Dr. Lyn Brodersen Cochran Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2021 by community donors and the Scott Community College (SCC) Foundation in memory of Dr. Lyn Brodersen Cochran. Lyn began her career as an instructor at Western Iowa Tech Community College where she taught courses in history, geography, English, and English Language Acquisition. Her love of education inspired her to continue her vocation so she could encourage students in various roles, including serving as President of SCC. This scholarship is meant to inspire students that are actively involved in campus activities to pursue their dream career.

Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:

• Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
• Are actively involved in SCC activities (PTK, Student Government, Clubs, etc.)

Scholarship Use
This scholarship award is for the fall semester.
