Iowa Quad Cities Rotary - J. Robert "Bob" Bateman Memorial "Dependability" Scholarship

This scholarship was created in 2018 by members of the Iowa Quad Cities Rotary Club in memory of one of their charter members, Bob Bateman. Bob served as one of the first Presidents of the club and was on the Board of Directors for many years. He was instrumental in helping to establish the original club’s endowment fund, with the primary purpose of providing scholarship opportunities.

Bob was one of the first to volunteer for any one of many service projects that the club sponsored over the years. One could always count on him to step up and help in any number of ways. Dependability was the word best used to describe Bob and the roles he played throughout his career.

It is the hope of the club that the student receiving this award would best honor Bob’s memory, by exemplifying the attribute of “dependability!”
