First-Generation College Student Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Cindy Bottrell, associate dean of arts and sciences, and associate director of the Advanced Technology Environmental Education Center, to assist first-generation college students (neither parent has earned a four-year college degree) enrolled in arts and sciences at Scott Community College.

Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:

• Are enrolled in Arts & Sciences courses
• Are a first-generation college student
• Have completed one semester at Scott Community College with a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher
• Are NOT eligible for the Pell Grant.

Scholarship Use
This scholarship award is for the fall semester.

This scholarship award may be used for tuition only.
